Our own Jim Hemphill has turned in a look at the 1971 spaghetti Western Bad Man’s River on Blu-ray from Kino Lorber. And I’ve just posted my two cents on Chris McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation on Blu-ray from Paramount, which is outstanding from start to finish. Bad Man’s River is now available, while Rogue Nation streets on 12/15. Do check them out.  [Read on here…]

We’re closing out the week with a little more good new release information...

First of all, here’s some great news: I’ve been trying for years now to get Shout! Factory to license and release Universal’s The Black Sheep Squadron on DVD. As fans of the classic 1970s TV series will know, Universal planned to release the series in three volumes on DVD, but only the first two ever came out here in the States (the final volume was available in France only). Well, now it looks like Shout! is indeed releasing Baa Baa Black Sheep: The Black Sheep Squadron on DVD on 2/23 (SRP $19.97)! You can see the pre-order listing here on Amazon. We don’t know if this is the first of multiple volumes or if indeed it’s the complete series. But I think we can safely assume that the complete series IS finally being released on DVD here in the States. Which pleases me right down to the ground.  [Read on here…]
